چکیده

Background: Repeatability and validity are important components of precision in any measurement system. Aim: This study aimed to determine the effect change head neck position body posture on repeatability intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements with PT-100 non-contact tonometer compare Goldmann, Schiøtz readings. Setting: Optometry clinic, Saudi Arabia. Methods: The IOP was measured one selected eye 84 healthy participants (mean aged 21.9 ± 2.0 years) using three positions, Goldmann two separate visits, a randomised fashion. Central corneal thickness (CCT) an ultrasound pachymeter. repeatability, agreement correlations between CCT differentials were assessed. Results: positions similar comparable IOPs sessions 74% 86% within ±3 mmHg tonometry, respectively, for two. tonometer-measured higher than ( p < 0.05) 60% 44% two, respectively. limits reproducibility best worst tonometer. mean (552±36 µm) negatively correlated differences both Schiøtz-measured IOP. Conclusion: Postural changes did not affect interchangeable overestimated thicker corneas more PT-100.

Comparison of intraocular pressure measurements with the portable PT100 noncontact tonometer and goldmann applanation tonometry

PURPOSE Noncontact tonometers are useful when regulations preclude use of contact tonometers by medical students and other nonophthalmologists. Our study compared the measurements by the portable, noncontact tonometer (PT100) with Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT). METHODS This was a prospective study of 98 eyes from 98 patients. Intraocular pressure (IOP) was measured by GAT and the PT100...

Agreement of patient-measured intraocular pressure using rebound tonometry with Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) in glaucoma patients

This study aims to determine the agreement of patient-measured intraocular pressure (IOP) using rebound tonometry with ophthalmologist-measured IOP using Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT). Fifty-three glaucoma patients used rebound tonometry (Icare ONE, Icare Finland Oy., Finland) to measure their own IOP in ambient environments for 1 week, 5 times per day. Clinic IOP measurements were perfo...
