چکیده
For 8 years, we have followed up a birth cohort comprising 241 mother-and-infant pairs living around the Da Nang airbase, hot spot of dioxin contamination in Vietnam, and reported impacts perinatal exposure on neurodevelopment children at various ages. In present study, 9 years after birth, investigated effects mu theta rhythms by analyzing EEG power during execution observation hand movements, which indicate mirror neuron system activity. One hundred fifty-five 9-year-old (86 boys 69 girls) from participated examination with free viewing movements. The levels their mothers’ breast milk, measured 1 month were used as markers. A log transform ratio or movements relative to bouncing ball for was evaluate both brain hemispheres, band significantly higher (i.e., less reduction power) girls exposed high TCDD. boys, however, congeners other than TCDD, including HxCDDs several PCDF congeners, contributed increased ratios band. Particularly lowest group among 4 groups decreasing increasing dose. Perinatal TCDD may influence brain, plays an important role social-emotional behavior children, particularly Vietnam. • decreased activity girls. Increasing some boys. Mirror impairment be involved developmental deficits due exposure.

Environmental Health Risk Assessment of Dioxin Exposure through Foods in a Dioxin Hot Spot—Bien Hoa City, Vietnam
This study used the Australian Environmental Health Risk Assessment Framework to assess the human health risk of dioxin exposure through foods for local residents in two wards of Bien Hoa City, Vietnam. These wards are known hot-spots for dioxin and a range of stakeholders from central government to local levels were involved in this process. Publications on dioxin characteristics and toxicity ...
متن کاملPersistent hematologic and immunologic disturbances in 8-year-old Dutch children associated with perinatal dioxin exposure.
Perinatal exposure to Dutch "background" dioxin levels in 1990 was high, but comparable with that of other industrialized Western European countries. Exposure during the sensitive perinatal period may cause permanent disturbances. Therefore, we assessed the health status and various hematologic and immunologic parameters among our longitudinal cohort. A medical history was taken and venipunctur...
متن کاملImpact of Perinatal Dioxin Exposure on Infant Growth: A Cross-Sectional and Longitudinal Studies in Dioxin-Contaminated Areas in Vietnam
Dioxin exposure levels remain elevated in residents living around former US Air Force bases in Vietnam, indicating potential adverse impacts on infant growth. In this study, 210 mother-infant pairs in dioxin-contaminated areas in Vietnam were recruited at the infants' birth and followed up for 4 months. Perinatal dioxin exposure levels were estimated by measurement of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-...

since the 1960s the age effects on learning both first and second language have been explored by many linguists and applied linguists (e.g lennerberg, 1967; schachter, 1996; long, 1990) and the existence of critical period for language acquisition was found to be a common ground of all these studies. in spite of some common findings, some issues about the impacts of age on acquiring a second or...
