چکیده
Introduction: Anemia is one of the most prevalent nutritional deficiency problem affecting pregnant women. It defined by World Health Organization as hemoglobin (Hb) level less than 11 g/dl. Hemoglobin 9.0- 10.9 g/dl mild, 7.0-8.9 moderate and 7 severe anemia respectively. Maternal in pregnancy commonly considered a risk factor for poor outcome can result complications that threaten life both mother fetus.
Aims: To find out neonatal delivered to anemic mothers.
Methods: A prospective case control study was carried among 75 newborns women with below 10.9g/dL. Another were taken at same time, matched age sex wise group mothers whose more 11g/dl.
 Results: Out total cases 35(46.7%) had 32(42.6%) 8(10.7%) Similarly, having preterm baby 4.42 times higher (p 0.033). The low birth weight 3.9 0.04). mean head circumference (HC) 33.9cm +1.40 (Mean+SD) 34.4cm+1.24(Mean+SD) difference 0.5cm 0.032). length 45.3cm+1.97 (Mean+ SD) 46.2cm+1.69 0.9 cm 0.003).
Conclusion: associated increased adverse outcome. Efforts must be made reduce prevalence especially during morbidity mortality.

Among pregnant women the prevalence of anemia was four fold higher in developing countries as compared to the developed countries. In India 40 – 90 % of the pregnant women are anemic. متن کاملSevere Iron-Deficiency Anemia on Maternal and Neonatal Outcomes
The effects of severe iron-deficiency anemia in pregnancy on maternal and neonatal outcomes were investigated in a relatively deprived inner-city population in a North London hospital. 212 pregnant women were included in the case-control study, 106 had haemoglobin (Hb) < 8 g/dl recorded at any point during their pregnancy. The control group, 106 women, had Hb >11 g/dl throughout pregnancy. The ...

INTRODUCTION Maternal body mass index has an impact on maternal and fetal pregnancy outcome. An increased maternal BMI is known to be associated with admission of the newborn to a neonatal care unit. The reasons and impact of this admission on fetal outcome, however, are unknown so far. OBJECTIVE The aim of our study was to investigate the impact of maternal BMI on maternal and fetal pregnanc...
