Effects of Hydrogen-Rich Water on Postharvest Physiology in Scales of Lanzhou Lily during Storage

Hydrogen gas (H2) is considered as a signaling molecule and plays multiple roles in plant growth. However, the effect of H2 on postharvest physiology lily scales during storage has not been reported. In this study, regulatory hydrogen-rich water (HRW, donor, concentration 0.45 mM for 100% HRW) status, ion balance, nutrients Lanzhou (Lilium davidii var. unicolor) were investigated. The soaked HRW 12 d, sampling was performed every 3 d total 5 times. results show that (0, 10, 50, 100%) increased fresh weight, dry relative content, loss rate scales, with maximum biological response at 50% HRW. Treatment significantly K+ content K+/Na+ ratio decreased Na+ content. K+-ATPase, PM H+-ATPase activities also by treatment. Meanwhile, up-regulated expression AKT1 HA3 genes down-regulated NHX2 SOS1 genes. addition, treatment level PIP1;5, PIP2A, TIP1;3, TIP2;2 water-soluble carbohydrate, sucrose, glucose, fructose starch. activity α-amylase, β-amylase, amylase, sucrose synthase, phosphate synthase. Collectively, might enhance retention capacity nutrient maintaining regulating aquaporin, increasing sugar-metabolizing enzyme activity, thereby prolonging period lily.
