Effects of Health Education Intervention Programme On Health Seeking Practices and Treatment Preferences for Mothers of Under-Five Children with Febrile Illness in Ogbomoso

This study determined the effect of health-education intervention programme on health-seeking practices and treatment –preferences for mothers having under-five children with febrile-illness .Quasi Experimental research design was conducted among attended primary health care centres immunization in selected Primary Health Care s Ogbomoso Pre Post self-structured questionnaire were used to collect data from 191 using purposive sampling technique. One third respondent (28.0%) have heard about febrile illness during pre-intervention while most (98.4%) it post intervention. Majority (74.2%) declined take their child facility when sick post-intervention over half (51.1%) do often. education improved seeking preferences under five.
