Abstract TiNi shape memory alloy exhibits an excellent cavitation erosion resistance. Therefore, it's effective method for preventing by applying this material as a coating. In paper, the effect of Co element addition on resistance based coating deposited atmospheric plasma spraying (APS) was investigated. The microstructure and microhardness were characterized. results show that lamellar microstructures with defects, such porosities, microcracks unmelted particles are presented in all coatings. appropriate is beneficial to reduce porosity obtain denser microstructure. matrix phase coatings phase.
