Lateral wedge insole one such approach suggested by professionals to manage osteoarthritis. Objective: To determine effectiveness of lateral insoles on osteoarthritis outcomes in Pakistani population Design: A single-blinded, pretest-posttest comparison. Setting: District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital, Bahawalnagar and National Institute Rehabilitation Medicine (NIRM), for time period month. Population: Patients with age criteria 40-70 years, who had OA were included study. Methods: Participants randomly divided two groups; (LWI) group (n=20), conventional physical therapy (CPT) (n=20). Pain, stiffness, activities daily living, sports recreational activities, quality life was assessed Urdu version Knee Injury Outcome Score scale (KOOS) every week till 4th intervention. Mixed ANOVA used interaction effect between-subject factor (group) within-subject (time) with-in analysis way between comparisons their size (ɳp2). Results: Significant improvement large observed Symptoms stiffness (p<0.001, ɳp2=.329} , pain ɳp2=.559), functional ɳp2=.394), ɳp2=.369) ɳp2=.280). The CPT showed more significant (p<0.001) all domains KOOS as compared LWI group. Conclusion: both have positive impact outcomes. But effective improving independence. Clinical rehabilitation impact: This study provides evidence use alternative strategies outcome measures.
