EFFECTIVENESS OF COCONUT WATER CONSUMPTION ON BLOOD PRESSURE

Blood pressure as a circulatory system is influenced by psychosocial (stress), genetic, age, sex, nutritional status, and lifestyle (diet, lack of fiber consumption, smoking, physical activity). 30 ml young coconut water containing 61 mg potassium, 5.45 sodium, 1.3 sugar can affect changes in blood pressure. This study aims to determine the effect consumption on nursing students at Respati University Yogyakarta. type research quasi-experiment with design pre post-test nonequivalent control group. The sampling technique used simple random sampling, many 36 samples. Test using T-test Paired Wilcoxon. results analysis systolic diastolic pretest-posttest group obtained p-value 0.121 0.361. diastole pre-post test experimental p-values ​​of 0.030 0.194. posttest groups 0.021 0.371, which concluded that there was an students.
