EFFECTIVENESS OF A HUMAN RIGHTS–BASED APPROACH ONLINE PROGRAM FOR GERONTOLOGICAL SOCIAL WORKERS

Abstract The human rights perspective is emphasized through the social work code of ethics and practice principles. However, efforts to improve workers were insufficient in gerontological education South Korea. Thus, study aimed prove effects a rights-based approach intervention for workers, which consisted nine online sessions using Zoom. PI developed program based on McPherson’s integrated framework Human Rights Practice Social Work. A quasi-experimental design was used. experimental group 36 control 31 at senior centers. pre-post tests posttest conducted. socio-demographic characteristics two groups equivalent. key measure Lens Work (HRLSW) scale consisting sub-dimensions: problems as violations clients experiencing violations.The effect sizes program’s worker’s large over .90.
