Effectiveness Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) to Foot Care Behaviour and Foot Condition in Diabetes Mellitus Patient

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is disease with hyperglycaemic condition. Hyperglycaemic can induce vascular problem (microvascular and macro vascular), neuropathy, nephropathy. Microvascular neuropathy foot in patient, which make amputation, increase medical cost, care cost. Self-Management Education (DSME) influence patient behaviour also This research aim to find effectiveness of DSME involve 112 respondents (intervention group= 56 respondents, control respondents) quasi experiment nonequivalent group pre-test – post-test method. Intervention was given for eight week 15 minutes education every each data collected by questionnaire checking patient’s In first researcher collect data. Data analysed ordinal regression at 5% significant value. Result: significantly (p = 0.000) 12.2%, condition 7.4%. applied continuity enhance awareness then avoid related DM. Future use monofilament Ankle Brachial Index examination condition.
