Effect tensile behavior of spandex/polyester yarns on the stress–strain curves for woven fabrics

چکیده
The main goals of this study were to determine the effect three yarn structural factors (yarn count, cross section and spandex ratio) their interactions on tensile breaking extension properties behavior spandex/polyester spun yarns respective woven fabrics. Moreover, stress-strain curves plotted yield points corresponding (toughness, stiffness Initial Young Modulus) derived. association between elongation parameters for fabrics was computed using simple correlation coefficient, results explained that all significantly increased as count while weak or marginal. It is obvious strain, stress, extension, tenacity decreased a result increasing content but decrease percents (%) generally weak. With respect 1st 2nd order interaction effects, they no significant most current appeared with lowest gave best coefficients positive highly (except Young's modulus) indicating could be used good indicators strength manufactured by these yarns.

Effect of Moisture Absorption on the Tensile Behavior of Woven Hybrid Natural Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composites
Natural fibers are receiving considerable attention as substitutes for synthetic fiber reinforcements such as glass in polymer due to their low density, low cost, acceptable specific strength, reduced tool wear and respiratory irritation and renewable resources. The fibers are not uniformly distributed in the randomly oriented fiber reinforced hybrid composites due to manual lay-up and fibers a...
متن کاملSimulate the Dynamic Draping Behavior of Woven and Knitted Fabrics
In this article a practical mass-spring system was developed to simulate the draping of woven and knitted fabrics. The material properties important to fabric drape, including aerial density, tensile, shear, and bending properties were measured using the Kawabata Evaluation System and the experimental data were incorporated into the mass-spring model to simulate the dynamic draping behavior of ...
متن کاملINTRAPLY HYBRID COMPOSITES BASED ON BASALT AND NYLON WOVEN FABRICS: TENSILE AND COMPRESSIVE PROPERTIES
In this study, the tensile and compressive behaviors of pure and hybrid composite laminates reinforced by basalt–nylon bi-woven intra-ply fabrics were experimentally investigated. Epoxy resin was used as the matrix material. The purpose of using this hybrid composite is to obtain superior characteristics by using the good strength property of basalt fiber with the excellent toughness of ny...
