Effect of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles on Nitrous Oxide Emissions in Agricultural Soil
نویسندگان
چکیده
Zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) are widely used and exposed to the soil environment, but their effect on nitrous (N2O) emissions remains unclear. In this study, a microcosm experiment was conducted explore effects of different ZnO NPs concentrations (0, 100, 500, 1000 mg kg−1) N2O associated functional genes related amendment with carbon (C) or nitrogen (N) substrates. Partial least squares path modeling (PLS-PM) possible pathways controlling induced by NPs. treatment without C N substrates, 100 500 kg−1 did not affect production, stimulated production. Interestingly, compared soils NPs, total in presence increased 2.36–4.85-, 1.51–1.62-, 6.28–8.35-fold following C, both & substrate amendments, respectively. Moreover, ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (AOB amoA) nitrite reductase (nirS) led exhaustion nitrate reduced gene copies archaea (AOA amoA). addition, redundancy analysis results showed that AOB amoA nirS were positively correlated emissions, PLS-PM indirectly affected influencing content, nitrifiers denitrifiers. Overall, our increase increasing nitrification denitrification (nirS), we highlight exposure agricultural fields probably high risk when coupled contributing global climate warming.

متن کاملSpatial variability of nitrous oxide emissions and their soil-related determining factors in an agricultural field.
To evaluate spatial variability of nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions and to elucidate their determining factors on a field-scale basis, N2O fluxes and various soil properties were evaluated in a 100- x 100-m onion (Allium cepa L.) field. Nitrous oxide fluxes were determined by a closed chamber method from the one-hundred 10- x 10-m plots. Physical (e.g., bulk density and water content), chemical (e...
متن کاملEffect of zinc oxide nanoparticles on viability of human spermatozoa
BACKGROUND The extensive use of different nanoparticles has raised great concerns about their occupational and biological safety. OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to evaluate the cytotoxic effect of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) on viability of spermatozoa. MATERIALS AND METHODS Semen samples were obtained from 15 healthy persons, and were analyzed using WHO guidelines. Each semen s...
