Effect of WC Content on Microstructure and Element Diffusion of Nano WC-Co-TiC/304 Stainless Steel Composites for Micro Drill

In this study, WC-Co-TiC/304 stainless steel composites were successfully prepared by compression at room temperature and vacuum sintering in a special mold. Through analysis comparison of the microstructure, density, particle size composite, effects different WC contents on structure properties WC-Co-TiC studied. The results show that among when content is 60%, distribution each relatively uniform fine, agglomeration not obvious. bonding effect cemented carbide 304 composite interface best. With increase content, side defects gradually. When best ratio 1:1 Co/TiC, as density 94.45%, 0.2–0.3 μm 38.9%, highest hardness 1370 HV0.1, but it better Co/TiC 3:2 interface, value 852 HV0.1 diffusion Cr element more uniform, while other elements have little difference.
