چکیده

Vermicomposting is increasing used to process food, sewage and other organic wastes through the breakdown by earthworms. Vermicompost addition soils can improve plant growth accessability of nutrients lowering levels contaminants found in compost products. This study examins effect vermicompost on salinity tolerance tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicumL., var. Firenze) via greenhouse pot experiments. Plants were grown 4 substrates designated letter identifiers: A control, “T” with 100% soil; a treatment “Vc” was 80% soil + 20% Vermicompost; “C” Compost; mixture “M” 10% Vermicompost+ Compost. The four groups exposed 3 NaCl concentrations (0, 50 150 mM); experimenta; design within complete randomized block. plants’ response stress evaluated morphological (shoot length, stem diameter, leaves number, root shoot fresh dry weight), physiological (Chla, Chlb Carotenoid) biochemical (malondialdehyde (MDA) catalase (CAT)) parameters. All measured parameters significantly different between treatments. Vc substrate showed an improved better resistance stress. Analyzed positively influenced contribution matter (Vermicompost, two) which plays role slow, consistent release mineral elements provides soluble reduce abiotic stresses. In conclusion, could be relevant method for reducing salt growth, addressing challenges growing food crops drier, more saline contaminated envvironments.

Effect of Vermicompost on Growth, Yield and Quality of Tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum L)

Cattle dung vermicompost (VC) was used to prepare different proportions of soil and vermicompost mixtures viz. Soil (control), VC15 (Soil+15% VC), VC30 (Soil+30% VC), VC45 (Soil+45% VC). Vermicompost was chemically analysed for various parameters like pH, Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen (TKN), Total Available Phosphorous (TAP), Total Sodium (TNa), Total Organic Carbon (TOC) and Electric Conductivity (E...

Two different Pb concentrations (5 and 10 mg/kg of PbAc2) were used to study the response of Solanum lycopersicum L. cv. Micro-Tom (MT) plants in two vegetative growth phases. Two genes that have been previously reported to be heavy metal inducible genes (superoxide dismutase, SOD, EC 1.15.1.1; and isofl avone reductase, IFR; EC 1.6.4.2) and another one putatively interesting in this fi eld (tr...

Effects of seed pretreatment with 24-brassinolide on physiological and biochemical characters in tomato plants under salt stress

In order to study the diverse effects of seed priming with 24-epibrassinolide (EBL) (0, 0.1, 1 mg/l) to increase tolerance of tomato plants (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) to salinity (0, 70 and 140 mM NaCl), the experiments were conducted as factorial based on completely randomized design at greenhouse condition. Results showed that salt stress significantly decreased the growth of tomato plan...

Physiological and biochemical responses of Hypericum perforatum to salt stress and salicylic acid spraying

Salinity is one of the main obstacles to the successful production of agricultural products. Hormonal compounds such as salicylic acid (SA) as plant growth regulators can have different physiological and biochemical effects in plants under salt stress. In present research, the effects of different concentrations of sodium chloride (2, 6 and 10 dS/m) and foliar application of SA (0, 0.25 and ...
