Effect of Various Matrix Materials on Mechanical Properties of Basalt/Jute/Glass Fiber Reinforced Hybrid Composites

In this research, the effect of different matrix materials (epoxy and vinylester) on mechanical properties Basalt, Jute, Glass fiber-based hybrid composites were analyzed mechanically morphologically. The test results achieved by Tensile Vickers hardness test, while morphologic images obtained Scanning Electron Microscopy. Basalt fiber fabric, Jute fabrics 86 gr/m² 100 used as reinforcement elements, epoxy vinylester utilized materials. A vacuum assisted resin transfer molding method was production technique. results, it is given how use element types affects produced composite samples. Results show that tensile strength basalt fiber/glass (100 gr/m²) reinforced with highest in all composites. terms microhardness, value have 1.39 times higher than basalt/glass electron microscopy (SEM) analysis to examine rupture fracture mode As a result analysis, also observed SEM support results.
