Effect of variations in Ni-W molar ratio on the microstructure, mechanical properties and tribology of electrodeposited Ni-W/diamond composite coatings

چکیده

In this work, Ni-W/diamond composite alloy coatings were successfully fabricated on low carbon steel by using direct current (DC) electrodeposition. The Ni-W molar ratio was varied in the range of 0.22–2 plating bath. effect variation microstructure, mechanical properties and tribology analyzed. obtained results show that W content deposition rate tends to decrease from 19.02 at. % 2.1 34.86 µm/h 11.98 µm/h, respectively as is increased 0.22 2. hardness reveal highest microhardness 1346 Hv reported for sample with 0.75 ratio. Furthermore, wear a significant reduction 0.75.
