Effect of stirrup, longitudinal reinforcement and steel fibers ratios on the torsional behavior of high strength concrete beams

Many factors affect the torsional behavior of reinforced concrete beams, such as strength, section dimensions, aspect ratio and cover. Improvements in RC members had led researchers to investigate effect additional steel fibers, reinforcement arrangement. Based on above, there is a gap previous studies taking distribution stirrups with longitudinal fibers. Twenty-six beams 250 mm wide, high 1150 long are investigated under pure torsion. Consider fiber ratio, stirrup strength concrete. The results show changing from brittle ductile when increasing registering maximum ductility index (3.98). increase percentage 6% caused 105% torque, but it was slight torque respect fibers 2%. optimum 2% terms increased workability, gave an which reached 98.8%. Increasing 2.5%, while fixed, 130.4%. 50%, 66.9%.
