Effect of Soil Regenerative Practice on Selected Soil Physical Properties and Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) Yield

Living mulches can play a crucial role in the protection of soil against erosion, as well biological and chemical degradation. Soil fertility its physical properties, including structure, are special importance to crops. properties affected, among other factors, by type tillage. In order determine effect regenerative practice (living mulches) on two-factorial experiment was conducted. The first factor involved white clover perennial ryegrass an intercropping eggplant. second living sowing term: three weeks before eggplant planting, at time planting after planting. Covering inter-rows with reduced yield beneficial structure improved water resistance aggregates. Perennial had slightly more advantageous improvement compared clover. greater fruit obtained from vegetable grown without companion plants. application (especially Trifolium repens L.) caused non-significant decrease yield. It found that limiting growth seedlings sown date result marketable (on average 14%). A similar occurred when were eggplants difference between yields 4.3%. term mulches—three planting—no significantly affected mean weighted diameter aggregate (MWDg), stability index (?MWD), waterproof (Wod) (W). Later terms resulted majority parameters; however, this not confirmed statistically. periodic mechanical treatment showed 3–4% lower values porosity, 3–16% increased compactness, 28–30% indices for aggregates system.
