چکیده

Introduction: The objective of this investigation was to evaluate the effect Rosmarinus officinalis essential oil on anxiety, depression, and sleep quality. Methods: oils were extracted by hydro-distillation using a modified Clevenger-type apparatus chemical composition performed Gas chromatography with flame ionization detection (GC-FID) mass spectrometry (GC–MS). Furthermore, quasi-experimental study conducted, where 81 participants divided into two groups, comprising waiting list control group an experimental treated oils. Anxiety depression indexes evaluated Zung Self-Rating Scale (SAS) Depression (SDS), quality measured Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Inventory (PSQI). Results: Chemical analysis showed that 1,8 cineole (37.6%), α-pinene (19.9%), linalool (15.8%) main components. Anxiety, scores decrease in post-test phase compared pre-test (p<0.05). A large size found case anxiety (d = 1.491; g= 1.490) 1-β=0.996, while medium effects observed for 0.581; 0.582) 1-β=0.585; 0.586; g 0.588) 1-β=0.638. Conclusion: Essential from are more effective calming show moderate changes
