Effect of POLY4 Application on the Growth and Yield of Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.)

Aim: To evaluate the effect of POLY4 Application on Growth and Yield Groundnut.
 Study Design: Randomized Block Design.
 Place Duration Study: Gungal Research Farm, ICAR-Central Institute for Dry land Agriculture, Hyderabad, India between June 2022 October 2022.
 Methodology: A field experiment was conducted at Telangana during Kharif season to Impact Groundnut. The assigned in ten treatments, laid out design with three replications. treatments were T1-Recommended NPK (20:40:50 kg ha-1) + gypsum @ 500 ha-1, T2-Recommended NP only, T3-Recommended NPK, T4-Recommended 50% K through MOP, T5-Recommended 100% rec. Poly4, T6-Recommended Poly4 310 T7-Recommended T8-Recommended T9-Recommended ha-1 T10-Control.
 Results: application Recommended NP(20:40 K(50 (T5) treatment resulted a significant increase both plant height leaf area vegetative (18.1 cm 320.4 cm2 plant-1), flowering (31.9 554.7 plant-1),at pegging (39.5 785.3 pod formation (48.5 1088.5 harvest (54.4 359.5 plant-1) respectively compared control. Significantly higher yield (1556 recorded under (20:40 (50 (T5). lower (844 control (T10).
 Conclusion: Polyhalite, also known as POLY4, is highly effective fertilizer that provides potassium (K), sulfur (S), magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca) more efficient manner equivalent soluble salts. Based findings current study, it can be concluded polyhalite (POLY4) along recommended doses nitrogen phosphorus sandy loam soil best performing treatment.
