Effect of Non Surgical Periodontal Therapy on Salivary Ph in Periodontal Disease: A Randomized Clinical Trial

The aim of the study is to assess effect pre and post Non Surgical Periodontal Therapy on Salivary pH in patients suffering with Chronic Periodontits. Patients reporting Department Periodontics, I.T.S Dental College, Hospital & Research Centre, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh are included study. It a randomized clinical trial where into two groups Generalized Gingivitis Periodontitis. performed Sample size 30 2 months Period were included. Unstimulated Saliva collected at first visit when patient reports OPD for NSPT. Clinical Parameters recorded NSPT patient. Post 14 days treatment, saliva analysed parameters again. determined using meter. Data statistically interpreted. statistical testing be used this Mann Whitney U Test, Chi- square test Paired t-test. There was significant difference plaque index, gingival index oral hygiene between groups. definite reduction SRP but it non due relatively smaller sample size. Further research required substantiate results same.
