چکیده
Abstract This study is conducted to develop a cement-based strain-detecting sensor with high cost-effectivity, large strain measuring range and good compatibility concrete infrastructures. The paper describes experimental results on the compressive properties piezoresistive behaviour of polyethylene(PE) fibre-reinforced cement composite(PE-FRCC) different contents micro steel fibres (SFs) under cyclic compression. synthetic PE were added into mortar improve capacity in compression SFs at 0.25-1.5% by volume fraction incorporated electrical conductivity. Test show that for PE-FRCC strength 32MPa, increase SF content 0.5% increased about 45% compared without SFs. addition improved properties, such as modulus elasticity lateral confinement. incorporation also effective reduce signal noise relationship between fractional change resistance (FCR) axial PE-FRCC. more 1.0% (PE0.75+SF1.00 composite) possess strong linear FCR during repeated stress amplitudes.

The experimental study deals with Hybrid fibre reinforced concrete with the use of (Polypropylene and Recycled polyethylene terephthalate RPET). The M40 grade concrete used was designed by using IS10262-2009 code. The steel fibre and synthetic fibre were added at the volume fractions up to 0.5%. Test results showed that the fibres, when used in a hybrid form, could result in superior composite ...
متن کاملLaboratory testing of steel fibre reinforced shotcrete
Uniaxial and triaxial compression tests on steel fibre reinforced shotcrete (SFRS) have been used to quantify the elastic–plastic response behaviour for both the peak and post-peak regions. The laboratory tests were conducted with a servo-controlled testing machine to obtain complete stress–strain curves. The test results include unconfined and triaxial compressive strengths, shear strengths an...

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Effect of inter-laminar fibre orientation on the tensile properties of sisal fibre reinforced polyester composites
In this present work, effects of interlamina fibre orientation on the tensile properties of composites were studied and the results were discussed. The varying types of fibre oriented composites were prepared using the compression moulding technique at a pressure of 17 MPa. The different types of oriented composites investigated were 90o/0 o /90 o, 0 o /90 o /0 o, 90 o /0 o /0 o /90 o, 0 o /45 ...
