Effect of Methanotroph Bacteria Isolated from Paddy Rice Plant (Oryza sativa L.) on Growth and Yield Components of Rice

The present study was initiated to determine whether isolates from soil and roots of paddy plants can affect the plant’s growth productivity. conducted answer question, “Can rice be grown when NPK doze is reduced?” This aims apply methanotroph bacteria on production lowland rice. research field carried out in fields Amparita Village, TelluLimpoe District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, South Sulawesi. June September 2020. were arranged a split plot Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD), main plot, namely, fertilizer dosage treatment (P) with 4 treatments, without fertilizer, 75 g/plot, 150 360 g/plot. subplots application namely: bacteria, 106 CFU per ml methanotroph, 107 108 methanotroph. results showed that there an interaction between methanotrophic bacteria. best obtained combination g observation plant height (111.17 cm), 0 fresh weight grain highest (70.44 g), whereas g/plot dry 43.89 g. at 100 grains number (3.53 g).
