Effect of Lockdown on Neurosurgery Trauma Patients in a Tertiary Care Hospital in India

Abstract Background With an increasing number of cases COVID-19 disease, the Indian government announced a complete lockdown on March 24, 2020, and country remained under in April 2020. After ramping up health infrastructure although were rise, was ordered to gradually lift May Methodology It retrospective cross-sectional study all patients admitted our medical college trauma center 2020 who compared with 2019. We studied prevalence outcome road traffic accidents (RTA), assault, fall from height (FFH) victims center. Data collected using Excel sheet, statistical analysis done latest available SSPS software. Results Our groups included 124 as 322 The intense resulted decrease RTA (−72%), FFH (–29%), assault (–7%). There no statistically significant change patients' care management at terms mortality morbidity. No Covid-19-positive neurosurgery Conclusion During stringent period there victims, especially RTAs. proportion influence alcohol, head injuries, fractures, dislocations along assaults unlock period.
