EFFECT OF GINGER (ZINGIBER OFFICINALE) ON SEXUAL PERFORMANCE AND FERTILITY OF QUAIL BIRDS UNDER SEMI-ARID CONDITIONS

A study was carried out to the effects of Ginger (Zingiber officinale) on quail semen quality, sexual hormones levels and histology testicles. total number 108 birds at age 8 weeks were divided into four groups, with three replicates per treatment 9 replicate. Birds in control group fed basal diets groups diet supplemented 0.25, 0.50 0.75% Ginger. At ages 10 till 20 weeks, blood samples collected, analyzed. end trial. One male from each replicate slaughtered testes excised for histological analyses. Result this experiment showed that supplementing improved sperm concentration, quality factor %, livability% reduced abnormality%. Also results significant (P<0.05) higher plasma glucose protein concentration treated than control. In addition, serum LH, FSH testosterone compared group. general, increases reproductive related parameters, it could be considered sex promoter birds.
