چکیده

Hybrid polymer composites reinforced with synthetic and natural fibers are gaining more interest in current composite technology an effort to promote sustainability without sacrificing the performance of fiber composites. The goal this study is see how stacking sequence carbon ramie fiber, as well orientation affects quasi-static indentation behaviour carbon/ramie epoxy hybrid specimens were made using a hand layup approach followed by hot pressing process. properties reinforcements matrix investigated hemispherical indenter at varying displacement rates 10, 20, 30 ?mm/min for stated orientation. resistance qualities evaluated terms force, specimen energy absorption capability, damage caused penetration. results reveal that 5 layers has better capabilities, absorbing 114.926 ?J 20 rate. Similarly, force increases number increases. These indicate have great potential towards low velocity impact applications.

Creep Behavior of Basalt and Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composites

The creep behavior of basalt fiber reinforced epoxy (BFRE) and glass fiber reinforced epoxy (GFRE) composites was studied through tensile testing at high temperature. To study the effect of reinforcing epoxy, the micro glass powder (MGP) was added at various volume percentage into the epoxy resin in BFRE composites. The initial strain for all the specimens were evaluated and compared with each ...

Effect of Epoxy Functional Groups on the Properties of Carbon Fiber-Epoxy Composites

Matrix resins of carbon fiber-epoxy composites with different numbers of epoxy functional groups were prepared, and their properties were compared to optimize the matrix resin composition. To understand the bonding strengths between the carbon fiber and epoxy resins in monofilaments and micro-sized resin beads, the interfacial shear strength (IFSS) was measured using the microdroplet technique....

Effect of Chopped Carbon Fiber on Electrical and Thermal properties of Carbon Reinforced Epoxy Composites

This work presents an insight into the effect of conductive filler content on both electrical and thermal properties of a polymer composite system. The electrical conductivity of an insulating polymer can be achieved by dispersing conducting fillers (e.g., metal, graphite powder, carbon black, carbon fiber) in the polymer matrix. The resulting materials are referred to as conducting polymer com...

Effect of Fiber Surface Treatment on Wear Characteristics of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polyamide 6 Composites

Ozone modification method and air-oxidation were used for the surface treatment of polyacrylonitrile(PAN)-based carbon fiber. The surface characteristics of carbon fibers were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The interfacial properties of carbon fiber reinforced polyamide 6 (CF/PA6) composites were investigated by means of the single fiber pull-out tests. As a result...
