Effect of Electron-Electron Interactions on Metallic State in Quasicrystals

چکیده

We theoretically study the effect of electron-electron interactions on metallic state quasicrystals. To address problem, we introduce extended Hubbard model Ammann-Beenker tiling as a simple theoretical model. The is numerically solved within an inhomogeneous mean-field theory. Because lack periodicity, nonuniform in electron density even noninteracting limit. clarify how this charge distribution pattern changes with interactions. find that intersite change substantially and electron-hole asymmetric way. origin these through analyses real perpendicular spaces. Our results offer fundamental basis to understand electronic states quasicrystalline metals.

Effect of Temperature and Pressure on Correlation Energy in a Triplet State of a Two Electron Spherical Quantum Dot

The combined effect of hydrostatic pressure and temperature on correlation energy in a triplet state of two electron spherical quantum dot with square well potential is computed. The result is presented taking GaAs dot as an example. Our result shows the correlation energies are i)negative in the triplet state contrast to the singlet state ii) it increases with increase in pressure  iii)further...

Ferroelectric-like metallic state in electron doped BaTiO3

We report that a ferroelectric-like metallic state with reduced anisotropy of polarization is created by the doping of conduction electrons into BaTiO3, on the bases of x-ray/electron diffraction and infrared spectroscopic experiments. The crystal structure is heterogeneous in nanometer-scale, as enabled by the reduced polarization anisotropy. The enhanced infrared intensity of soft phonon alon...

Effect of photo–electron therapy on human neoplastic cells

Background: Cancer is a complex disease with high rate of mortality. At present, Radiation therapy is one of the most common procedures to overcome this situation. The deficiency of conventional method is the lack of fatal dose transmission into the malignant tissue. Hence, uncertain dose may cause regeneration of cancer cells, and relapse of the disease and invasion of the cancer cells to ...

Electron-phonon and electron-electron interactions in organic field effect transistors

Recent experiments have demonstrated that the performances of organic FETs strongly depend on the dielectric properties of the gate insulator. In particular, it has been shown that the temperature dependence of the mobility evolves from a metallic-like to an insulating behavior upon increasing the dielectric constant of the gate material. This phenomenon can be explained in terms of the formati...

On the Electron-electron Interactions in Two Dimensions

In this paper, we analyze several experiments that address the effects of electronelectron interactions in 2D electron (hole) systems in the regime of low carrier density. The interaction effects result in renormalization of the effective spin susceptibility, effective mass, and g∗-factor. We found a good agreement among the data obtained for different 2D electron systems by several experimenta...
