Effect of Different Feeding Rates on Growth Performance and Survival Rate of Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus L. 1758) Fingerlings Reared in Rectangular Hapas

The objective of the study was to determine effect feeding ration on growth and survival Oreochromis niloticus. Three experimental hapas (T1, T2 T3) were studied for a total 8 weeks. had rectangular shape same size (0.0725 decimal). In each three conditions, 420 fish/decimal stocked. fish fed 8% their body weight in 12% T3. T1, reliant food that occurred naturally environment. T3, fishes twice daily. proximate composition diet as follows: 11% water, 30% protein, 6% fat, 10% ash, 7% fiber. Throughout trial period, it determined range water quality parameters (water temperature 28-32°C, dissolved oxygen 5.6-7.8 mg/l, pH 7.5-8.6) suitable Tilapia culture. initial mean fry treatments 3g, final gain 6.8±4.77 g 9.88±5.76 19.2±9.9 respectively. average length 5 cm, 8.2±6.15 9.86±7.36 12.2±8.23 cm T3 group, which at rate weight, attained highest whereas T1 with no supplemental nutrition revealed least terms weight.
