چکیده
The aim of the study was to determine whether a diet with an addition black cumin seeds (BCS) can be used in functional egg production. At 8 weeks age, flock 96 female quails divided into 3 groups. control group received their standard feed (0 BCS). offered test groups supplemented BCS amount 20 and 50 g · kg–1, respectively. Dietary supplementation decreased intake improved efficiency. Egg yolk quail treated had by lower percentage SFA increased level UFA. A significantly increase observed PUFA, especially PUFA n-6. health-promoting properties product were indicated fact considerable reduction cholesterol level. Unfortunately, n-6/n-3 ratio BCS-supplemented under these circumstances eggs obtained from receiving did not meet requirements food.

BioActivities of Coturnix japonica (quail) egg yolk and albumen against physiological stress
Cold and immobilization stressors can generate oxidative stress as well as skeletal muscle fatigue. Free radicals cause oxidative degradation of lipids, proteins, nucleic acids, and carbohydrates molecules thereby compromising cell integrity and function. Coturnix japonica (quail) egg had been described as being very functional biochemically, due to the essential biomolecules it contains in ver...

This study aimed to decrease the cholesterol content of egg yolk of laying hens through inclusion of barley malt rootlets in the diets. Forty-two, 54-week-old, Lohman laying hens were fed for a 12 weeks laying period on 3 iso-caloric and iso-nitrogenous diets contained 0 (control), 25.5 or 51.1g barley malt rootlets/kg. Inclusion of barley malt rootlets at 25.5 or 51.1g/kg diet significantly de...

متن کاملEgg Production Pattern Of Japanese Quail (Coturnix Coturnix Japonica) In Northern Guinea Savannah Zone Of Nigeria
The technology drive from egg production in relationship with genetic selection makes today’s egg production quails quite different from those of a decade ago. For instance age at 5 percent production is now earlier and total egg number has increased. The quail eggs are renowned for their high biological value (George, 2002). Although it was first considered mainly as a model animal for commerc...
