Effect of Coated Composite Micro–Texture Tool on Cutting Shape and Cutting Force during Aluminum Alloy Cutting

چکیده
Aluminum alloy materials are very difficult to break in the processing process; chip accumulation leads poor stability. In this paper, a coated composite micro–textured tool is presented. The influence of on shape and cutting force under same parameters studied. Firstly, combination temperature optimized based test. Secondly, combined with finite element simulation technology, three kinds micro–texture tools tested determine parameters, workpiece materials, optimize from angle shape, force. Finally, basis optimizing microstructure combination, optimization performance aluminum by coating material It was found that more easily broken when two were used. decreased 25% 9.09% compared non–micro–texture tools. 3% 4.99% those uncoated microstructure.

متن کاملThe Impact of Cutting Tool Materials on Cutting Force
A judicious choice of insert material, tool geometry and cutting conditions can make hard turning produce better surfaces than grinding. In the present study, an attempt has been made to investigate the effect of cutting tool materials on cutting forces (feed force, thrust force and cutting force) in finish hard turning of AISI D2 cold work tool steel. In conclusion of the results obtained with...

متن کاملCutting Forces and Tool Wear Investigation for Face Milling of Bimetallic Composite Parts Made of Aluminum and Cast Iron Alloys
Bimetallic parts are used in many industries for weight and cost reduction of workpieces working under high loads and wear. One application for this type of composite material is in automotive industry. In this work the tool wear and cutting forces in the face milling of bimetallic parts made of aluminum and cast iron were investigated. A356 and GG25 alloys that are common materials for bimetal...
متن کاملEffects of Friction and Cutting Speed on Cutting Force
Observations are made regarding the influence of cutting speed and friction on cutting force by way of finite element modeling. Simulations are validated by comparison of cutting forces and chip morphologies for the Al6061-T6. Analysis of cutting forces over a wide range of cutting conditions suggests an important role of the secondary shear zone in the decrease of cutting force as a function o...
