Effect of Aged Nonlinear Resistive Field Grading Material on Electric Field Distribution of DC Cone Spacer

Nonlinear resistive field grading materials are widely used in the electrical and electronic applications, usually researched based on initial nonlinear conductivity characteristics of synthetic materials. However, long-term stability these rarely reported. In this paper, effects thermal ageing material electric distribution DC cone spacers studied. The 30 wt.% SiC/epoxy micro-composites prepared thermally aged at 180 °C for 1080 h. infrared spectroscopy, dielectric properties, breakdown strength measured, respectively. addition, a simulation model spacer is built, power dissipation density calculated. With increasing time, relative permittivity loss tangent increase, decreases. Besides, coefficient almost increases, switching Simulation results show that can homogenize spacer, but causes increase threatens safe operation spacer.
