Rabbit Anti-Ganglioside GM2 Polyclonal Antibody
BACKGROUND Introduction: GM2 is a type of ganglioside. It is associated with GM2 gangliosidoses such as Tay-Sachs disease.
متن کاملComplement-mediated anti-HIV-1 effect induced by human IgM monoclonal antibody against ganglioside GM2.
HIV-infected cells aberrantly express a high level of antigenic glycosidic structures such as GM2 and Gg4. Some normal sera containing natural IgM Abs to GM2 and/or Gg4 cause C-mediated cytolysis of HIV-infected cells. In the present study we demonstrated that a human IgM anti-GM2 mAb (L55 Ab) can induce cytolysis of HIV-infected cells. Increased GM2 expression by HIV-1 infection of a human T c...

The chimeric antiganglioside GM2 monoclonal antibody (MAb) KM966, which showed high effector functions such as complement-dependent cytotoxicity and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), potently suppressed growth and metastases of GM2-positive human cancer cells inoculated into mice. To further improve the therapeutic efficacy of the anti-GM2 MAb in humans, we constructed a humanize...
متن کاملProduction and characterization of a murine/human chimeric anti-idiotype antibody that mimics ganglioside.
The VL and VH from a murine anti-idiotypic antibody that mimics ganglioside have been cloned, sequenced, and expressed as a chimeric mouse/human IgG1 antibody. The chimeric antibody retained a binding specificity indistinguishable from the original murine antibody. The VH was a member of Vgam 3.8 family. The sequences are discussed in terms of ways in which proteins may mimic ganglioside epitopes.
