Effect of a Baffle on Bubble Distribution in a Bubbling Fluidized Bed

In this study, the multi-phase Eulerian–Eulerian two-fluid method (TFM) coupled with kinetic theory of granular flow (KTGF) was used to investigate hydrodynamics particle flows (Geldart Group B) in a lab-scale bubbling fluidized bed. The goal improve bubble behavior inside bed distribution an injected liquid, by increasing bubbles entering spray jet cavity and, thus, reduce formation wet agglomerates. effects baffle on both injection level and whole were studied. Different geometries also investigated. Adding fluxtube can long works best at redirecting gas bubbles. Baffles tend smooth out variations caused non-uniform inlet distribution. A pocket appears under all baffles.
