چکیده

Lignocellulosic biomass, as the largest amount of carbohydrate forms on our planet, has great potential a feedstock for sustainable chemical and material production. However, its conversion is still challenging due to rigid structure complicated composition. It mainly composed cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin. Cellulose linear polymer consisting glucose linked by β-(1,4)glycosidic bonds. Hydrogen van der Waals bonds link those cellulose long chains together form microfibrils. Hemicelluloses are branched heteropolysaccharides pentoses, hexoses sugar acids. Lignin complex phenolic macromolecule cross-linked with aromatic units.A common practice in biomass degrading hemicellulose into their monomer sugars. Then sugars can be fed microbial fermentation processes biochemical biomaterial intact recalcitrance factors like In nature, lignin safeguard plant cell wall, which protects carbohydrates walls from attacks. Therefore, effective typically needs preprocessing. Pretreatment breaks biomass's enhances enzyme accessibility hemicellulose. A variety pretreatment methods been studied, categorized three groups: physical, biological, methods.
