Ecotourism in Indonesia: Local Community Involvement and The Affecting Factors

Travel and tourism have become a fast-growing industry major source of income for many developing countries (Wood, 2002), including Indonesia. Approximately 35% nature product portfolio is ecotourism (Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif, 2019). Ecotourism development based on the awareness understanding in every environment condition which oriented conservation concern local culture as well civilization. Hence, existence community interaction guarantee to sustainability (Damanik, 2013; Wood, 2002). Many benefits offered by concept ecotourism, does not keep this away from several critics, related low involvement management. This study aims analyze affecting factors managing Indonesia systematically reviewing 29 articles published Sinta Ristekdikti’s accredited journals with qualifications 1 2.
