چکیده

An increasing world population along with human needs have raised demand for animal origin products. Moreover, high prices of conventional feeds led to a alternative feedstuff. Food waste can be an feed ingredient. The aim the present study was investigate effect dietary inclusion dried hotel residues (DHR) on growth performance, blood biochemical parameters and meat quality traits in finishing pigs. In each 2 trials conducted, 20 castrated male pigs were allotted into treatments. both trials, control treatment fed corn-soybean meal-based diet without residues. first trial, DHR1 contained 100 g DHR1/kg (approximately 5%). second DHR2 treatment, 80 DHR2/kg no Average daily intake tended lower average weight gain compared while differences detected. However, final body weight, FCR dressing percentage not affected any two trials. Minor several physical traits, hematological observed among treatments conclusion, results indicate that addition DHR did affect utilization produced meat; hence, use pig feeding supported.

Effects of dietary soy isoflavones on growth, carcass traits, and meat quality in growing-finishing pigs.

Two experiments were conducted to determine the effect of soy isoflavones on growth, meat quality, and carcass traits of growing-finishing pigs. In Exp. 1, 36 barrows (initial and final BW, 26 and 113 kg, respectively) were used and each treatment was replicated four times with three pigs each. The dietary treatments were 1) corn-soybean meal (C-SBM), 2) corn-soy protein concentrate (low isofla...

Effect of dietary formates on growth performance, carcass traits, sensory quality, intestinal microflora, and stomach alterations in growing-finishing pigs.

Three experiments were conducted to evaluate the effect of adding salts of formic acid to diets for growing-finishing pigs. In Exp. 1, 72 pigs (23.1 kg and 104.5 kg initial and final BW) were used to evaluate the effect of Ca/Na-formate and K-diformate on performance and carcass traits. Treatments were organized in a 2 x 3 factorial arrangement with two feeding regimens (limit and semi-ad libit...
