چکیده

Earthworms form an essential group of soil macrofauna that performs a number ecosystem functions in forests. Studies the species composition and population density earthworms were conducted many regions Russia; however, fauna Lumbricidae Novosibirsk area remained unexplored for long time. The objective this work is to carry out comparative analysis earthworm coniferous small foliage forests forest-steppe Ob region (Novosibirsk area) identify correlation between basic physical chemical properties soil. study was pine birch-aspen main method registration layer-by-layer excavation with hand sorting samples forest deadwood. Some parameters also measured. Data each habitat are given. studied habitats classified according ratio living forms. It found humidity most significant factor epigeiс epi-endogeiс species. diversity largely supported by Asian subspecies Eisenia nordenskioldi subjected morphometric confirming its characteristic polymorphism.

The role of forests and pastures in combating the economic vulnerability of rural forest communities during the corona outbreak

The prevalence of Corona disease as one of the most critical infectious diseases has increased the risks of food security in different parts of the world. Local communities, especially in rural areas, are highly dependent on natural resource-based ecosystem service strategies to manage global food security and meet livelihood needs. Forests and pastures can also provide goods and servic...

Forest Management and the Dead Wood Resource in Ponderosa Pine Forests: Effects on Small Mammals

Changes in vegetation structure and composition affect habitat for wildlife. Species such as small mammals that are restricted to small home ranges and are relatively immobile may be most affected since it is more difficult to find and move to new habitat. In the southwestern United States, forest management treatments (thinning and prescribed burning) are being implemented to alter structure a...

Rhizopogon spore bank communities within and among California pine forests.

In this study we examine the distribution of Rhizopogon species in spore banks from five California pine forests. Four of the forest sites were discontinuous populations of Pinus muricata and a fifth was a Pinus ponderosa stand in Sierra National Forest. Rhizopogon species were retrieved by bioassaying the soils with pine seedlings followed by isolation of axenic cultures from individual root t...

Reconstructing Scotland’s Pine Forests

The Caledonian pinewoods are a habitat of crucial environmental and cultural importance, and the sole home of many rare species. However, they have seen steady decline in recent centuries, through the establishment of hunting estates and forestry plantations. A recent trend in management is the attempted transformation of existing plantations (dense communities with a regular spatial structure ...

Seasonal Variation of Earthworm Abundances and Biomass in Natural Forests and Plantations (North of Iran)

Soil productivity and plant growth are usually affected by biological activities of earthworms. The objective of this study was a comparative evaluation of earthworm abundances in 20-year-old plantations of Alder, Oak, Maple and Cypress with the adjacent natural mixed broad-leaved deciduous forest in the Caspian region of Iran. In this research one sample plot, each 1 ha; was selected in every ...
