چکیده
This paper aims to detect early-stage lung tumors in deep-seated and superficial locations, precisely measure the size of detected tumor using non-invasive microwave reflectometry over a super-wideband (SWB) frequency range. Human phantom are modeled multi-layer concentric cylinder structure spherical-shaped inclusions, respectively. Firstly, study on dielectric properties human torso tissues is carried out an SWB range 1–25 GHz based Cole–Cole dispersion model. Intensive full-wave simulations under irradiation by custom-designed antenna array then performed. Results show that small sizes from 5 mm radius both locations tissue can be contrast reflection coefficients reconstructed images produced backscattered signals between normal anomalous tissues. The potential successfully their early stages at different depths has been demonstrated.

Circulating Tumor DNA Detection in Early-Stage Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Patients by Targeted Sequencing
Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) isolated from peripheral blood has recently been shown to be an alternative source to detect gene mutations in primary tumors; however, most previous studies have focused on advanced stage cancers, and few have evaluated ctDNA detection in early-stage lung cancer. In the present study, blood and tumor samples were collected prospectively from 58 early-stage non-sma...
متن کاملMolecular detection of tumor cells in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid from patients with early stage lung cancer.
BACKGROUND Conventional cytologic analysis of sputum is an insensitive test for the diagnosis of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). We have recently demonstrated that polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based molecular methods are more sensitive than cytologic analysis in diagnosing bladder cancer. In this study, we examined whether molecular assays could identify cancer cells in bronchoalveolar l...
متن کاملBreast tumor detection using microwave ultra wideband (UWB) forward scattering radar system
Most of the currently established techniques for breast cancer have inherent disadvantages, such as destructive effects, image accuracy, and others. In addition, mammography and nuclear methods have a potential for producing harmful ionization effects in humans. Another technique for breast cancer detection is microwave imaging radar, which has the advantage of a less hazardous modality and is ...
متن کاملMonitoring of lung edema by microwave reflectometry during lung ischemia-reperfusion injury in vivo.
It is still unclear whether lung edema can be monitored by microwave reflectometry and whether the measured changes in lung dry matter content (DMC) are accompanied by changes in PaO2 and in pro- to anti-inflammatory cytokine expression (IFN-gamma and IL-10). Right rat lung hili were cross-clamped at 37 degrees C for 0, 60, 90 or 120 min ischemia followed by 120 min reperfusion. After 90 min (D...
متن کاملDirect detection of early-stage cancers using circulating tumor DNA.
Early detection and intervention are likely to be the most effective means for reducing morbidity and mortality of human cancer. However, development of methods for noninvasive detection of early-stage tumors has remained a challenge. We have developed an approach called targeted error correction sequencing (TEC-Seq) that allows ultrasensitive direct evaluation of sequence changes in circulatin...
