Early-Middle Frasnian (Late Devonian) carbon isotope Event in the Timan-Pechora Basin (Chernyshev Swell, Pymvashor River section, North Cis-Urals, Russia)

Details of the Early-Middle Frasnian boundary interval Pymvashor River section (Timan-Pechora Basin, Cis-Urals, in far north European Russia) are revealed by biostratigraphically constrained carbonate (δ13Ccarb) and organic carbon (δ13Corg) stable data. The studied corresponds to lower part Domanik Formation, which consists interbedded limestone shale beds. Organic-rich black that lacks bioturbation benthic organisms indicates an oxygen-depleted depositional environment. Detection isorenieratene derivatives matter anoxia was present photic zone during deposition. contains δ13Ccarb δ13Corg isotope records related Event. similarity between Cis-Uralian (this study) Chinese oscillations, including twostep pattern recorded major positive excursions, suggests a robust correlation Late Devonian Early- Middle Event minor intra-event excursions. Magnitude variations values punctata Zone than those observed North American, Polish, successions. Such difference may reflect specific variation local environments.
