As the most severe forestry quarantine disease in several countries, pine wilt (PWD) causes substantial economic losses and poses a significant threat to forest ecosystem. It is necessary find rapid sensitive method for early diagnosis of control development effectively. This paper investigated effect Bursaphelenchus xylophilus (the pinewood nematode; PWN) on chlorophyll fluorescence kinetic curve (OJIP curve) parameters needles using four-year-old Pinus thunbergii as experimental materials analysis technical tool. was shown by results OJIP that intensity inoculated plants significantly increased at points O I. Additionally, relative variable K J comparable plants. Several treatment or decreased with progression. At same time, group had no changes each parameter. Therefore, can be used indicators PWD, among which DIo/RC parameter best. In summary, PWN invasion will produce PSII P. thunbergii, its are expected achieve PWD diagnosis.
