Eagle deaths in Tasmania attributed to energy assets, with a precautionary appeal to future development

The Tasmanian subspecies of the Wedge-tailed Eagle <em>Aquila audax fleayi</em> is listed as Endangered under both federal and state threatened species legislation, with an estimated population <1000 individuals, ongoing threats. vulnerable to injury mortality from wind-power infrastructure. same true similarly sized White-bellied Sea-Eagle <em>Haliaeetus leucogaster</em>, which Vulnerable legislation. This paper summarises research undertaken on number documented eagle deaths injuries energy assets in period 2010–2022. Information about not readily available nor made available. Hence, information comes searching primary sources such annual reports. I provide evidence 272 individual Eagles injured or killed plus 49 Sea-Eagles. In addition 321 reported cases injuries, it likely that unrecorded casualties are higher since most recorded anecdotally result systematic survey.
