E-working: Country Versus Culture Dimension

Globalisation and increasing digitisation mean that companies must increasingly orientate themselves internationally in order to become (more) competitive or remain competitive. Promoting e-working can revitalise rural development. The issue involved is always interaction between people from different cultures, who, according their cultural backgrounds, feel, think act differently. When diversity differences are taken into account, greater creativity, more diverse ideas faster problem solving achieved. dimensions, Geert Hofstede, offer a comprehensive model for capturing the various expressions of intercultural values. This paper examines motives applying selected European countries 2018 Hofstede’s six dimensions national culture. Twenty-eight Eurostat database were analysed (Finland Netherlands excluded, software detected them variable as outliers). Correlation with statistically significant at PDI (power distance index - negative: lower index, higher proportion e-working) IVR (indulgence versus restraint positive: e-working).
