Abstract Dynamics of suspended cables with active vibration control is studied. The device an electrical absorber that driven by a motor and may be fixed at any position along the cable. applies force reduces amplitude where it placed. methodology efficient for attenuating high-frequency, low-amplitude due to periodic excitation consider wind effect. dynamic behavior described mechanical model cable location attached. takes into account such practical problems as time delay backlash driving, which lead limitation in applicability control. Time occurs digital control, because samples data are taken discrete intervals response provided after sampling delay. Backlash influences when direction changes, since not transmitted small domain backlash. present research examines effects on local vibration, assesses range can applied successfully. Moreover, presence together results motion some irregularity what justifies detailed study order evaluate types arise systems.
