چکیده
The characteristics and classifications of aerosol properties over Iraq was studied in this paper. 1°×1° grid monthly optical depth angstrom exponent data the period 2005 to 2017 is used from Terra MODIS. Moreover, Aerosol Index it available NASA's Data Information Services Center for Earth Sciences (GESDISC). backtrjectory 12 dust extreme events Al-Jaziraregion by using Single-Particle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory model (HySplit-4). spatial-seasonal were obtained EOS-Aura satellite Ozone Monitoring Instrument. high-high clusters values which refer high concentration have been found western southern however low-low winter season whole Iraq. According Angstrom Exponent, there are three kinds modes: fine, mixture, coarse. This classification shows maximum area under fine aerosols mode has occurred with 13.6% whereas spring did not show any mode. coarse covers during summer 97.7% minimum 77. 2%. To demonstrate relationship between topography characteristics, Properties degree coarseness each pixel. Using Geographically Weighted Regression Ordinary Least Squares, geographical distribution strongly influenced topographic conditions. Where coefficient determination observed (R2=0.91) model, while Squares a lower (R2=0.33), comparison better all seasons. back trajectory that some sources air masses their path study through two pressure levels (1000 mb, 850 mb) desert main cause storms area.

Coarse Particles and Dust Storm Mortality In a paper titled "Episodes of High Coarse Partide Concentrations Are Not Associated with Increased Mortality," Schwartz et al. (1) concluded that "coarse particles from windblown dust are not associated with mortality risk."
