Dynamical phase transitions in the two-dimensional transverse-field Ising model

چکیده

We investigate two separate notions of dynamical phase transitions in the two-dimensional nearest-neighbor transverse-field Ising model on a square lattice using matrix product states and hybrid infinite time-evolving block decimation algorithm, where is implemented an infinitely long cylinder with finite diameter along which periodic boundary conditions are employed. Starting ordered initial state, our numerical results suggest that quenches below critical point give rise to ferromagnetic long-time steady state Loschmidt return rate exhibiting anomalous cusps even when order parameter never crosses zero. Within accessible timescales numerics, above paramagnetic regular connected zero crossings parameter. Additionally, simulations indicate quenching slightly leads coexistence region both appear rate. Quenches from disordered further confirm main conclusions. Our work supports recent finding arise only local spin excitations energetically dominant quasiparticles. modern Rydberg experiments.

Dynamical quantum phase transitions in the transverse-field Ising model.

A phase transition indicates a sudden change in the properties of a large system. For temperature-driven phase transitions this is related to nonanalytic behavior of the free energy density at the critical temperature: The knowledge of the free energy density in one phase is insufficient to predict the properties of the other phase. In this Letter we show that a close analogue of this behavior ...

Eigenstate thermalization in the two-dimensional transverse field Ising model.

We study the onset of eigenstate thermalization in the two-dimensional transverse field Ising model (2D-TFIM) in the square lattice. We consider two nonequivalent Hamiltonians: the ferromagnetic 2D-TFIM and the antiferromagnetic 2D-TFIM in the presence of a uniform longitudinal field. We use full exact diagonalization to examine the behavior of quantum chaos indicators and of the diagonal matri...

Magnetic Properties and Phase Transitions in a Spin-1 Random Transverse Ising Model on Simple Cubic Lattice

Within the effective-field theory with correlations (EFT), a transverse random field spin-1 Ising model on the simple cubic (z=6) lattice is studied. The phase diagrams, the behavior of critical points, transverse magnetization,  internal energy, magnetic specific heat are obtained numerically and discussed for different values of p the concentration of the random transverse field.

Test of quantum thermalization in the two-dimensional transverse-field Ising model

We study the quantum relaxation of the two-dimensional transverse-field Ising model after global quenches with a real-time variational Monte Carlo method and address the question whether this non-integrable, two-dimensional system thermalizes or not. We consider both interaction quenches in the paramagnetic phase and field quenches in the ferromagnetic phase and compare the time-averaged probab...
