چکیده
The studies on dynamic changes in metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) induced by various external stimuli have attracted great attention fields and been continuously investigated since the appearance of MOFs, porous crystalline materials. Many interesting phenomena occurred frameworks, for example, breathing, swelling, linker rotation subnetwork displacement, as well solid-state transformation accompanying with bond formation/deformation are observed through advanced techniques. In this account, we will summarize our efforts to expand related research field, focusing specific stimuli, including guest molecules (gas, solvent, other organic molecules) UV irradiation, an elucidation applications achieved responsive MOFs.

Metal-organic frameworks with dynamic interlocked components.
The dynamics of mechanically interlocked molecules such as rotaxanes and catenanes have been studied in solution as examples of rudimentary molecular switches and machines, but in this medium, the molecules are randomly dispersed and their motion incoherent. As a strategy for achieving a higher level of molecular organization, we have constructed a metal-organic framework material using a [2]ro...
متن کاملSurface anchored metal-organic frameworks as stimulus responsive antifouling coatings.
Surface-anchored, crystalline and oriented metal organic frameworks (SURMOFs) have huge potential for biological applications due to their well-defined and highly-porous structure. In this work we describe a MOF-based, fully autonomous system, which combines sensing, a specific response, and the release of an antimicrobial agent. The Cu-containing SURMOF, Cu-SURMOF 2, is stable in artificial se...
متن کاملDistinguishing Metal–Organic Frameworks
We consider two metal-organic frameworks as identical if they share the same bond network respecting the atom types. An algorithm is presented that decides whether two metal-organic frameworks are the same. It is based on distinguishing structures by comparing a set of descriptors that is obtained from the bond network. We demonstrate our algorithm by analyzing the CoRe MOF database of DFT opti...

These MOFs, also known as porous coordination polymers (PCPs) are characterized by their high porosity, ...
متن کاملCrystallography of metal–organic frameworks
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are one of the most intensely studied material types in recent times. Their networks, resulting from the formation of strong bonds between inorganic and organic building units, offer unparalled chemical diversity and pore environments of growing complexity. Therefore, advances in single-crystal X-ray diffraction equipment and techniques are required to characteri...
