Dynamic Simulation Analysis on Axle Spline of High-Speed Train Gauge-Change System

Spline couplings are widely used in transmission systems to transfer torque due their higher load carrying capacity and better durability performance. Most researches conducted under static quasistatic loading cases; however, very little is known about contact behavior stress distribution dynamic cases, especially as a key component between wheel axle. In this paper, 3D impact analysis model of the wheel-axle spline high-speed train gauge-change system employed order investigate effect driving velocity assembling error vibration on couplings. Three categories cases considered: (i) 0.3 m/s2 rate representing case; (ii) 0.5 normal case, (iii) 1 exceptional case. Aside from this, influence misalignment, including radial misalignment circumferential has been investigated Numerical results for surface integral by LS-DYNA MATLAB were presented compared verification results.
