Dynamic Performance of Soil–Tunnel System under Transverse Sinusoidal Excitations

Input of sinusoidal excitation with specified frequency is an optimal way to capture the mechanism soil-tunnel interaction. Focusing on relationship between input motions and dynamic response a system, this study carried out series shaking table tests both free-field model soil–tunnel in background tunnel soft ground. To detect detailed deformation segmental linings, refined lining ring was developed, stiffness ratio soil verified. Seven excitations were designated cover fundamental ground, transverse direction. Effects interaction can be evaluated by responses such as cross-sectional deformations, extension/closure longitudinal joints, normal earth pressures, strains segments. Results shows that differences acceleration responses, respects waveform, phase, peak, upper layer lower are obviously increasing increasing. The presence induces relatively high effect ground within varying from 9 17 Hz. maximum highly influenced excitations.
