چکیده

VSC-HVDC systems are widely used to integrate wind farms, asynchronous generations and networks operating at different frequencies. The Multi-terminal (MT) multi-fed (MF) HVDC’s the system mainly constituted of VSC’s, renewable sources transmitting bulk power conventional AC grids. A sudden change in steady state even adjacent may create severe disturbances operation such HVDC systems. or DC directly influence performance systems, particularly MT-HVDC MF-HVDC However, known for their intelligent control modulating operational states as when required. This paper presents dynamic analysis due load changes, faults other networks. result indicates that provides decoupled active reactive with capability adjusting mode during various minor major disturbances. Based on results obtained, proposed a novel sensitivity factor indicating percentage coupling among line parameters Furthermore, VSC’s injects harmonic signals both sides system. These harmonics voltage currents get amplified dangerously high magnitude resonance Thus, frequency characteristics subsystems also analyzed using FFT. ±100 kV, 200 MW bipolar MF test is simulated MATLAB/Simulink software.

Dynamic Harmonic Modeling and Analysis of VSC-HVDC Systems

Harmonics have become an important issue in modern power systems. The widespread penetration of non-linear loads to emerging power systems has turned power quality analysis into an important operation issue under both steady state and transient conditions. This paper employs a Dynamic Harmonic Domain (DHD) based framework for dynamic harmonic analysis of VSC-HVDC systems. These systems are wide...

Analysis and Improving Reliability Indices of VSC-HVDC transmission system tapped by a VSC- station

During the last three decades, reliability analysis of power systems considering transformers, breakers, transmission lines, and generators failure has been widely applied. This analysis has been done especially in the generation and transmission levels and is mainly restricted to high voltage alternating current (HVAC) systems. HVDC transmission systems are becoming increasingly popular when c...

Controllers For A VSC-HVDC Link Connected To A Weak AC System

In this paper, the interconnection of a strong AC system to a weak AC system by using a Voltage Source Converter (VSC) based High Voltage DC (HVDC) transmission system is investigated. In this work, the weak AC system considered is an island system comprised of synchronous generators and passive load. Analysis is carried out for UPF load and inductive load. The ac filter requirement to achieve ...
