Dyeing Properties Using Natural Dyes from Rhubarb:
In this investigation dyeing of alginate fiber was carried out after cationic treatment of 11 EPTAC (2, 3-Epoxypropyl Trimethyl Ammonium Chloride). Optimum dyeing process and 12 parameter show good dyeing performance when alginate fiber dyed with rhubarb dye. In addition 13 to cationic treatment is taken into account for alginate fiber to improve fastness, color strength, 14 breaking strength. ...
متن کاملDyeing with Disperse Dyes
Before the First World War, almost all dyes were applied from solution in an aqueous dyebath to substrates such as cotton, wool, silk and other natural fibres. However, the introduction of a man-made fibre, cellulose acetate, with its inherent hydrophobic nature, created a situation where very few of the available dyes had affinity for the new fibre. Water-soluble anionic dyes had little substa...
متن کاملDyeing Properties of Some New Disperse Dyes Containing Piperazine Moiety
Four novel azo disperse dyes based on 1-4-bromobenzyl-4-phenylpiperazine were synthesized in two steps, using alkylation and azo coupling reactions. Chemical structure of the dyes was characterized and confirmed by the Ultraviolet Visible UV-Visible, Fourrier Transform Infrared FT-IR, Proton Nuclear Magnetic Resonance 1H NMR and Carbon Nuclear Magnetic Resonance 13C NMR analyses. The solvatochr...
متن کاملInvestigation into the Dyeing of Soybean Fibres with Natural Dyes and their antimicrobial properties
The dyeing behaviour of annually renewable soybean protein fibres with Madder, Weld and Walnut seed husk, natural dyes, were investigated and their possible antimicrobial effects were evaluated. The results obtained from the dyeing of the Madder on the soybean fabric were compared with those on a wool fabric. It was shown that the amount of the amino acid content of the fibre has a great effect...
متن کاملSteric hindrance inhibits excited-state relaxation and lowers the extent of intramolecular charge transfer in two-photon absorbing dyes.
The two-photon absorbing dye AF240 [1, (7-benzothiazol-2-yl-9,9-diethylfluoren-2-yl)diphenylamine] is modified by adding bulky alkyl groups to the diphenylamino moiety. Three new compounds are synthesized which have ethyl groups in both ortho positions of each phenyl ring (2), t-butyl groups in one ortho position of each phenyl ring (3), and t-butyl groups in the para position of each phenyl ri...
